Decades of experience in STEM education
Before starting Orso Publishing, our team had been working in STEM for as long as some of us can remember, producing resources for many of the largest educational publishers, publishing service suppliers, and educators – as well as some of the smaller ones too!
In that time, our team have had experience being in-house, out-of-house, and working as freelance suppliers, so we’ve come to understand the challenges of STEM publishing extremely well.
- Working in-house for publishers, we learnt first-hand the specific needs and requirements of a publisher – especially regarding the technical elements of STEM subjects and the difficulty in ‘getting things right’ the first time.
- Working in an out-of-house supplier, we learnt to appreciate what it takes to ensure a publisher is getting exactly what they need on time, without worrying about issues arising from schedules, budgets, or unexpected problems.
- And working as freelance suppliers, we grew to understand the upsides and pitfalls of working completely externally, and what in-house teams can do to make sure they’re getting the best out of these team members.
It’s with all of this experience and these lessons learnt that we started Orso Publishing, and so we think it’s safe to say that we know the ins-and-outs of STEM publishing pretty well.
We’re not afraid to get stuck in with any part of the process, whether that’s project or editorial management, content creation, or concept development, so don’t hesitate to get in touch if you need any kind of help with your product.
