Revision guide for A Level Psychology
We managed the editorial production of a comprehensive and tightly-packed A Level Psychology revision guide, from copy edit through to publication, in close collaboration with the author, commissioning editor, and our client’s in-house editorial and design teams.

The psychology revision guide that we helped produce offers students a comprehensive set of revision notes for the AQA A Level course that are clearly organised into the required assessment objectives: AO1 Knowledge and understanding, and their related AO3 Evaluation points. Periodic 'questions and answers' pages help the students test and consolidate their revision, and exam practice pages at the end of each chapter provide them with opportunities to apply this knowledge and practise the skills required to get top marks in their exams.
Strict pagination limits, highly-structured design themes, and a content-heavy specification meant we had a real challenge on our hands: fitting a complete course’s worth of content into the book, with clear and concise exposition throughout, and a flow of content that ensures students of all abilities can learn, understand and memorise everything they need for the exams.
On this project, we acted as specialist editors and editorial managers, carrying out an in-depth copy edit, as well as editorial collation and mark-up of all proof stages. Throughout this process, we liaised directly with the author to shape the text into clear and concise points for each syllabus objective, we sourced and managed external specialist reviewers, and we worked closely with the client’s in-house team to ensure we that hit a tight but critical publication date that would allow publication ahead of important marketing events.
